TRIBUTE TO QUINCY JONES
A album honoring the music of  the great Quincy Jones is in the works & guess who’s signed on to contribute?  Are you ready?

  • Usher
  • John Legend
  • Robing Thicke
  • Scott Storch
  • Three 6 Mafia
  • Snoop Dogg
  • TPain
  • Wyclef Jean
  • Jermaine Dupri
  • and many more…

The list goes on & on, and each artist will be covering all of Quincy’s classics

But wait, guess who just signed on to join the bunch?  Jennifer Hudson & Akon!

Accordin to KN sources… J.Hud will be singing “You Put A Move On My Heart”  (no word on what Akon or any of the others will be covering)

Hold on… did we even tell you what the tribute album will be called?

“Q: Soul Bossa Nostra” … it should be out this spring  (keep your fingers crossed!)

THE DREAM’S LAST STAND
Now we’ve heard many artist announce that their current/next album will be their “LAST”…

Well add another name to that list!

WOTS… The Dream has revealed that he is calling it quits after his album “Love King”

“I really would like it to be the last one if I could – in a perfect world.”
– The Dream, MTV News

But the question is… (like others before him) “Will he retire!?”  (I don’t think so)

“In the back of my mind, I’m thinking a fighter fights… You don’t retire on top. [Michael] Jordan didn’t retire on top. I’m not saying I’m the best [like him], but I’m the best at what I can do. And I can stop now and say, ‘This album is pretty good.'”
– The Dream, MTV News

I guess we’ll just have to wait & see

BUT if you ask me, a true artist never retires from “the game”.  A true artist simply kicks back… lays low… and lets “the game” or music takes it course

Hmm… is The Dream a true artist?
