“MY GENERATION” by WILL.I.AM & SLASH
Your eyes are not deceiving you… you read correctly… Will.I.Am & Slash!

WOTS… the 2 musicians have teamed up to remake the Who classic “My Generation” in an effort to provide more relief for Haiti

“It’s the Who, their song, and then I altered the lyric to fit my generation now and then have Slash on it.”
– Will.I.Am. Billboard

According to sources… “My Generation” will make its debut in February during the Super Bowl XLIV half-time show.  Afterwards, the track will be available for download on iTunes w/ the proceeds goin to the earthquake victims of Haiti

RAYMOND V. RAYMOND… IN MARCH
So it looks like Usher has his eyes set for March 30th for the release of his next album “Raymond v. Raymond”

“His album date is set… His album is a solid record. People gonna love it.”
– Jermaine Dupri, MTV News

That is all…

ALICIA’S TOUR JUST GOT THICKE!
As if it wasn’t already gonna be a good show, the Alicia Keys’ “Freedom Tour” just got an addition!

WOTS… Robin Thicke broke the news to fans via his Twitter page

“Hey guys, Hittin the studio today to prep some new moves for the Alicia tour!” he tweeted. “See ya in a month with the show, come check it out!!”
– Robin Thicke, Twitter

Alicia’s “Freedom Tour” kicks of next month in Montreal on Feb 28th & along w/ Thicke, coming along for the ride is Melanie Fiona

Before Robin hits the road, he’s gonna stop by “The Late Show w/ David Letterman” on Feb 4th… and then BET’s “S.O.S. Saving OurSelves: Help for Haiti” telethon on Feb 5th

BLIGE & BOCELLI
At the Grammy’s this Sunday on CBS, the Opera world will be teaming up w/ the R&B world

WOTS… Mary J Blige will be performing a duet w/ Andrea Bocelli!!!  (WOW! who would’ve thought?)

According to KN sources… the duo will be doin a cover of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon and Garfunkel

Later… the performance will be available for download on iTunes/Target.com w/ ALL its proceeds goin to the American Red Cross & its recovery efforts for Haiti

Here’s Simon & Garfunkel LIVE in concert @ the 25th Anniv Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

LUDA’S “BATTLE OF THE SEXES”
No it’s not another reality show (although it probably would make a good one)!  BUT, it’s the name of Ludacris’ new album!

“Battle of the Sexes” is exactly what it is… on the album, Luda goes head to head against the “Female MC” Shawnna… BUT she left DTP

“There’s never really been an album with a male rapper and a female rapper together going head-to-head on different issues, mostly relationship issues”
– Ludacris, Rap-Up

Other artists makin an appearance on Ludacris’ new project include: Ne Yo, Flo Rida, Ciara, Nikki Minaj, Eve, Plies & Lil Kim, etc…

“Battle of the Sexes” by Ludacris hits stores March 16th

BOYS II MEN… STILL A TRIO
If you had any hopes that the FOUR would be getting back together… then you better put your hopes aside!

WOTS… After meeting w/ Michael McCary, the group was unable to come to an agreement… financially or otherwise  (BOO!!!!)

Did you ever wonder why the quartet became a trio?  (I did)

Well word is, McCary originally left the group in ’03 due to chronic back problems… it seems like it still is a problem

“It’s the traveling and the tour and with Mike’s back and ailments, we will not be able to perform with him so it’s hard to have his part there and yet not perform with him”
– Wanya Morris, Digital Spy

The guys are celebrating its 20th anniversary & if Michael WAS feeling up to all the traveling… they would be reuniting on a four day cruise & a Euro tour

It’s too bad… OH WELL

  2. What A Wonderful Blog Post…

[..] I saw this really great post today and I wanted to link to it. [..]…

  3. Hallo, das ist ja mal was Anderes hier. Da hab ich mir eine Lesezeichen gespeichert.

  4. I have been sober for almost ten years thanks to the company of A.A., sponsor, 12-steps, and a God of my understanding. I was a “high functioning alcoholic” who was beginning to lose my grip on the functioning aspect. However, it was very hard for me to admit I was alcoholic because I had sustained the same occupation for over 5 years, was married, owned a home, had good apparel, etc. Once I began to attend A.A. meetings, I encountered others who imbibed just like me, felt like me, and survived like me. That power to interrelate and identify is what started me on the road to a daily recovery. I never believed I could experience my life without alcohol. Now I am so grateful to wake up and know what took place the night before, not be filled with self-reproach or sorrow, and feel physically great.
