On January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi a cultural icon was born… his parents named him Elvis Aaron Presley (some of us know him as the King of Rock and Roll)

His music has transcended the test of time and his memory (like many others) will live on forever… RRRESPECTT!

Since his passing 1977 “The King” has been criticized as being “racist” along w/ many other things, BUT despite what some people (AND even some present day artists) may think, we still pay OUR respect & honor him for changing the way music once was…

“From the beginning of his national fame, Presley expressed respect for African American performers and their music and disregard for the norms of segregation and racial prejudice then prevalent in the South…”
